How to Break into Transaction Services
...even if you don’t know anything about Deals, Due Diligence or Valuation.
Did you know that a large majority of auditors want to work in Transaction Services ("TS") because it sounds prestigious but many have no idea what TS actually does?

Did you know that 9 out of 10 auditors who actually apply for TS roles, never land an interview?

Here's the Problem...
Many don’t even attempt applying for TS because:
  • They don’t understand the nature of TS roles
  • They don’t consider themselves good enough
  • They think their audit performance rating is not high enough
  • They think they lack additional qualifications (like CA, CFA)
  • They do not have Big 4 experience
Lastly, for those who do apply, most go through the official channels by applying directly on the companies websites or through HR (and never land an interview).
If you’re one of the above, this means you will miss this golden opportunity to break into M&A available to auditors and you will get stuck in audit or other back-office type roles for the rest of your career.
But luckily for you, now there’s a solution!
I will be hosting a Free Masterclass presenting my Step-by-Step System on how to break into TS.

In this Masterclass, you will discover:
  • The secret about how most TS roles are filled
  • What exactly the different TS teams do
  • How to land a TS interview
  • How to prepare for TS case studies and interviews
  • Why 90% of TS hires are from Audit
  • What TS Partners look for on your CV
  • Why your Performance Rating doesn’t matter
  • Why you don’t need any additional qualifications
A bit about your Instructor...
Hi, my name is Bilal and 5 years ago, I was just like you. I was an auditor at PwC South Africa and struggled to get out.

I had no idea what PwC’s TS Advisory did. However all my audit peers wanted to move there so I decided I should try as well.

Hence I blindly applied for a TS position on PwC’s internal system. I was rated an average auditor so it didn’t come as a surprise when I never hear back from HR.

A year later I moved to PwC Hong Kong which was a nightmare. During audit peak season we were expected to work till 3am or 4am. I desperately wanted to get out of audit but the odds were stacked against me :
  • I lacked local experience as I had only been there for 3 months. My performance ratings were average.
  • I didn’t speak mandarin which is very important to find a job in Hong Kong
  • I had no friends and no network to help me
  • PwC had a policy of no internal transfers for new joiners within 18 months of joining
  • I had no CFA at the time (I wasn’t even signed up for the exams)
I was about to give up, pack my bags and head back to South Africa. But I came across an article online about finding a job by Networking on LinkedIn. I had nothing to lose so I immediately applied what I read.

Over time I started figuring out what actually worked and what didn’t when it came to networking. I studied everything about LinkedIn and read books on psychology, persuasion, marketing, business development, communication and I applied everything I learnt.

After spending a total of 8 months in audit at PwC Hong Kong, I transferred internally to PwC TS Advisory. (Only 1-rated performers are able to make that move). I made the move as a 3-rated. They also made me an exception from the policy of “no internal transfer within 18 months of joining”. I will explain how I was able to do this during the Masterclass.

In addition, I had several offers from other Big 4 TS Advisory teams and 2nd tier firms (which I didn't accept). The system I created, worked liked a charm! It has also enabled me to relocate to Singapore and helped me land my current role in Venture Capital Investments.

Don't just take my word for it...
Look at this testimonial from Jonathan Kim, whom I helped move from Audit to TS-Valuation at PwC during my time in Hong Kong.

"Bilal encouraged me to join the Valuation team. He reviewed my CV and helped me prepare for the interviews which were very technical. I doubt I would have gotten through without his help."

Another Postive Testimonial...
"I spent years trying to break out of accounting and audit. It was a struggle. Glad I met Bilal and went through his training. I was able to get into a boutique valuation firm which has been a tremendous learning curve."
